Frappuccino Treat for Two

Starbucks Philippines is giving a treat for their loyal customers today! It happens to be my father's birthday, Manila Day and feast of St. John the Baptist... I'm waiting patiently for the clock to strike 2pm to avail this:
Now I want to try their Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino just to be adventurous for the day. Knowing me, I always chose the flavors that are on the safe side (aka familiar to me). Gotta ask my brother to print this voucher. I bet a lot of people will  troop to Starbucks for this Buy 1 Take 1 promo and I can't blame them.

63rd

A very happy happy birthday to my father where I got my looks (people say that a lot of time).

Father and Daughter Dance (Oct 2007)
I wish you more birthdays to come but that means you need to have a good health. So I wish you instead a good health but wait, we need first to overcome your cigarette vice which your claiming that it's a hard habit to break so I wish and pray that sooner you will quit smoking. I pray that soon you will be able to overcome the need to smoke....slowly but surely so you can have a good health and spend more birthdays with us!

Now where is your treat?

The Fairest June Bride

"They say when you marry in June, you're a bride all your life; And the bridegroom who marries in June, has a sweetheart for a wife".

Unfortunately, I'm not a June Bride and it's very seldom to wed in June here in the Philippines since it's the start of wet season where storms/typhoons visit the country.

But there's one June Bride that I really admire and turns out her wedding day was oh so perfect. From the weather down to the reception proper especially the speeches carried out by those people they love. Can you guess who she is?

You've probably since her in your television sets since she is a commercial model turned actress or is it a part-time doctor/ part-time commercial model/ full time actress?

Don't you know that their first kiss was on the wedding ceremony itself. You know the part where the pastor/priest will utter the words that the groom have been wanting to hear, "You may kiss the bride". Awwww, isn't that sweet of Richard to put Maricar on the pedestal despite of her past video controversy with ex-bf Hayden Kho. You can read a blog entry that I found sometime last week, it's a blog of Acel, one of the bride's closest friend and what's her take on the "secret wedding". You can check The Walk of the Bride: Maricar Reyes.

Networking Night for Wedding Businesses

Hello! It's a cloudy Monday here from my house while I'm typing this blog post. I was checking my inbox and saw an email from my dear sister. She is encouraging me to attend to this event:
Networking Night on June 13, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m
@ Richmonde Hotel in Eastwood City
Most of the brides I know who were involved and very hands-on in wedding preparations ended up having a wedding related business like wedding coordination, souvenirs, printing, baking pastries, chocolate making, catering, photography, etc.

This is a perfect opportunity for us (me + sister) to get some tips and marketing strategies as we are planning to put-up a business of party favors (wedding, birthday, baptism, bridal shower, baby shower) however the location is way too far from where I am. It's South going to North and I know that traffic in the area of Eastwood City is horrendous!  Tsk! If only the location is in Ortigas or Makati, I will definitely make it and be part of this event. I hope that they will have another networking night somewhere in the South, to be specific in Alabang area :)

To attend the event, just bring a copy of the Entrepreneur June 2013 issue. You can also buy magazine copies at the venue.

Sunny June

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts given that it's the first week of June. I'm racking my brain of things to blog and then an inspiration hit me! Most of us know this phrase or adjective which is "June Bride". Well this only applies in the US where June is spring time (or is it summer?) whereas here in the Philippines, June is the start of rainy season so having a wedding in June is not such an appealing idea. But we do have a counterpart for the June Brides and we call them the "December Brides" since it's a festive month where families from around the world troth back to the Philippines to celebrate Christmas thus December has been famous for loads of wedding.

With that intro, you'll probably have an idea where I'm going at. For most part of my blog entries for this month will be involved more on weddings! I've been to five food tastings since last year from different caterers to help my sister decide which food she have to select on her wedding day so I'm going to share about my experiences with those caterers. It's long overdue and  my sister keeps on reminding me to create a blog entry about the food tastings. Moreover, I'm itching to be crafty and practical so I'm thinking of throwing a few ideas for DIY which I found on the internet and Pinterest. I'm thinking of using them for my sister's wedding preps and bridal shower.

So as of my writing, the king sun is glowing furiously on my window. Let's keep our fingers cross that it stayed that way for another week or two. Stay tuned for my upcoming posts. I'll try to be diligent just like last month.
