Action Packed Last Sunday

I've been collecting my thoughts so I can post something here in my blog. I have a lot of pending posts and since they are all considered as backlog I'm having difficulty on how I can create a post that is informative and complete in details (I'm really starting to age as I have a tendency to forgot a few things here and there).

Anyways, as you may all know especially the sports fanatics that last Sunday was full of action across the different field of sports. Let's start from the morning of June 10, 2012:

Miami Heat versus Boston Celtics for Eastern Conference Finals

My brothers and I are rooting for Miami Heat. Why? Mine was a shallow reason - because of Erik Spoelstra who happens to be a Fil-Am. I just liked him, simple as that.

Watching the game in NBA HD channel in cable was intense. I thought that Miami will lose to Celtics since there were a lot of turnovers during the first half. Boohoo moment(s) courtesy of Rajon Rondo who has a killer hands to steal the ball. Thank goodness for Chris Bosh for his 3 pointers. It boosted the Heat to get even with Celtics and slowly inching to be the winner. It was a great game. At present, Miami Heat is battling it out with Oklahoma Thunders for the NBA 2012 title; I'm hoping that they will give their best to earn the crown.

Pacman versus Bradley

The whole world knows the outcome of this bout. Since my family is just watching at home through a local channel, it was a delayed telecast and I was busy checking Twitter in my BB for updates. I was so flabbergasted with the result! My oh my! The twitter exploded with comments and rants about the Pacquiao and Bradley fight. Tsk! Most of the people can't get over the fact that Bradley defeated Manny. I guess the scoring was based on how many hugs you made to your opponent...hahahaha!

An online petition is circulating to overturn the decision of the judges for this fight. To know more about the petition or simply you want to sign up, go to www.change.org

Ginebra Kings versus Petron Blaze Boosters

I've been a loyal fan of Ginebra Gin Kings since the team of Jaworski (the living legend of PBA) and that was in 90s. The Gins (team's nickname) is a local team here in the Philippines that is known for its thousands of fans/followers across the country. Admittedly, I don't watch PBA that often unlike before when I was in highschool and college. Most of the current players in Ginebra Kings are new to me. I'm still hooked with the old members like Bal David, Vince Hizon, Kenneth Duremdes, etc. Regardless, it's good to know that they won last Sunday.

Rafael Nadal versus Novak Djokovic

I'm not into watching tennis. I find it boring since I don't know much about the players except for the Williams sisters and Andre Agassi (I know Agassi is so yesterday....hehehe). I got interested way back in 2009, when I saw a match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. I was in awe! Moreover I am smitten by Rafa (sort of a nickname given to Rafael Nadal). Before, Federer was the number one tennis player under Male category then came Rafa beating Federer in all possible matches they have and took over the lead post. Unfortunately, Djokovic proved that he can be as good as Federer and Nadal so he is the current top tennis player. But of course, Rafa is still known for his title as the King of Clay as he is regarded as the greatest clay court player in history by the experts. Too bad I missed this match on cable since its way past my bedtime...hahaha. Next time, I will make sure to use one of my credit leaves to watch a game of these two. It will be a treat indeed.

Whew! Who can beat a Sunday like that?!
