Movie Night Out

Last Monday, July 26 our company had a movie night out for it's employees. I was told by my colleagues that every quarter there's a movie treat and food for everyone. We watched The Last Airbender where it featured Noah Ringer as Aang.

A lot of my colleagues/ friends noticed that Noah is lacking of acting skills. Well his not really an actor to begin with and this is the first acting gig that he had. His a young taekwando practitioner who sent his his homemade video showing his martial skills and that's the reason he got the role of the Avatar.

I'm sure his acting skills will improve on the franchise movie.

Now back to the movie itself, for most parts the effects are good but if your going to compared it to the TV series which I watched every episodes, you will be disappointed in a way. It only proves that there's always  limitation and technology is not an exception. Apart from that, the movie was briefly summarized. I can't blame the director because for Book 1 there are like 20-24 episodes that they need to squeeze into a 2-hour film. It's really tough to say the least.

I will  give the movie 3.5 out of 5 for the effects and for making Appa so adorable on the film :)

His Married!

I know this is kind of a late reaction post. I should have posted it last weekend but I was busy helping my brother with his English project that up to now it's still not done :(

Anyways, as the title of this post implies I'm talking about Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr's secret wedding. Some girls have all the luck in the world! Sigh!

Orlando is one lucky dude I may say so myself (okay, both of them are lucky! period!). I bet that majority of the male species would want a Victoria's Secret model for a wife ;)

I so heart Orlando ever since he made a debut on the film, Lord of the Rings. His so gorgeous as Legolas Greenleaf....

One bachelor off the market in Hollywood. Who's next?....hmmmm... I hope it's not R-Patz =P

Congratulations to the beautiful couple! I wish for their marriage to stay peaceful and longer. I'm sure they will have beautiful children in the future :)

Early Birthday Gifts for Myself

Since I'm celebrating my birthday real soon, I decided to buy some things I really like as gifts and rewards for being alive and staying tough ;)

I asked my good friend in Dubai to buy me a Longchamp Le Pliage since this bag is way cheaper there compared here. Originally I was longing for a Longchamp Eiffel but it's out of stock already.

Regardless, I'm still happy having this bag :)  I'm hoping to have another one...hehehehe.

I know summer season is so over here but I can't resist this eye candy swimwear from Soak. It's a Multi-Way Drape Bandeau that you can wear with or without the straps and with or without the ribbon creating different looks ;)

I'm giddy happy with all my purchases. Now all I have to do is wait for my bday to celebrate it with my family and good friends.

New Motto

There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the pointless drama and people who create it, and surround yourself with people, who make you laugh so hard, that you forget the bad and focus on the good. Life is too short, to be anything but happy.

Need Memory

I was not able to get an update much on my blog (what's new?). I'm almost done running back and forth for the things that need to be settle concerning my sister's property. Finally I can be able to go home early unlike before where I always end up sacrificing my sleeping hours and hopefully I can return back to my regular blogging habit. I miss those times where my blog is updated everyday.

Just when things are starting to slowly getting back on track my laptop's memory got busted. Yeah, it has 1GB memory but right now it's running on 512MB hence the boot-up process is slow and navigating within Windows is slow. You might be wondering how was I able to get online? Well, thanks t the 3 MBPS of Sun's USB internet and the fact that a lot of people are sleeping at this time so I got a chance to surf and blog :)  Sooner or later when everyone is awake, my internet will be sluggish so I'm just grabbing this chance for me top update whatever I want to update ;)

Pretty soon I will need to buy a new memory for this "baby" of mine. At this point, I can't afford to buy a new laptop with all the things I need to accomplish in furnishing our 3rd floor space. And besides my laptop is still in good working condition, I just need an additional memory for it to keep running like it used to be.

If only people can upgrade memory just like laptops and computers then most of us will be more efficient and definitely there will be no such thing as amnesia or memory gap =P

High School

Last Saturday I had a chance to reunite with my former Junior highschool classmates. Here's a picture of our class that I snag from Tere on her FB account:

Can you pinpoint where I am? =P

And here's a pic taken last Saturday...we are not complete compared to the above picture but at least we had loads of fun and of course it's a dinner treat of Troy who just came back from Manila ;)

Some of us didn't change much except maybe for the size of our body and weight...hahahaha!

That evening was full of laughter and stories and memories. After that dinner I realized how much I missed my high school life. I really had a blast with these people on my Junior year. I can say that it's my most favorite year in high school. Sigh!
Anyways, they are cooking up another reunion for August and it will be an overnight event. Now my problem is that I'm not sure if my husband will give me a GO signal. His kinda strict when it comes to overnight out-of-town trip. I had a feeling that I'm not the only one who will have this problem...hehehehe. Growing up comes a load of responsibilities ayt?!

No work

This is the day that I've been waiting for. No work on Monday :)  Thanks to the Independence Day in the US so we are off the hook to come to the office today.

It's weird that days had gone by so fast. I still need to go to a Meralco office to apply for our electric meter and line. The one we are using now is just temporary connection from the developer. I'm not sure if they will charge us for the electricity we consumed for the last 20 days so it's better that I apply now for our own electricity supply.

In the afternoon, the husband and I will be watching Eclipse! Yey! We are still undecided on where we will watch the movie....

In the evening, I'll probably iron all the clothes that I have to wear for the coming days. Whew! So much to accomplish with such a little time.
