Australia and Environment

The past two weeks we heard in the news about the wildfire that spread in Victoria, Australia (my god mother lives there and I'm wondering if they are okay). Based on police investigation, turns out that the fire is deliberately set and a man named Brendan Sokaluk is charged of arson.

The fire destroyed more than 1,800 homes and death toll reaches 200 including two Filipinos who happens to be siblings. To date, the wildfire that happened last February makes history for whole Australia that they will never forget.

Environmental cleanup is needed whereas industrial cleaning is not since the affected area is residential and farm lots. Yesterday, March 1st it's a Clean Up Australia Day where Australians are encourage to participate and join for environmental education and community values it promotes.
