Frankly Speaking

Most of the time I'm just a lurker in N@W since I don't have a child yet. Some of the topics are mostly about motherhood which I cannot relate to. However, it give me thoughts and ideas on how will I become once I've become a mother.

It's been discussed in the group about the language that you want to teach your children when they grow up. Is it Filipino or English? Parents particularly mommies have their very own reasons on why they want that particular language to instill on their child/children.Honestly, I will teach my child/children to speak English and Filipino. How? I told my husband that I'll be talking to our child in English while he will be the one talking to him/her in Filipino. I think children nowadays have a keen memory and they absorb things easily by using their five senses. I have a classmate in high school and she is married to a pure Italian. I asked her if their daughter knows how to speak English and she told me yes. How about Filipino? She understands the language and seldom talks using it. Italian? She understands and speaks it too.

This got me thinking that having two languages in the household will not be a problem to a child as long as he/she was used to that language. Teaching English in an early age will help my child/kids to be versatile and can easily communicate with other people especially when he/she grows up.

Based on my own experience, when I was a child I was really shy and afraid to do recitation inside the classroom. Moreover, I hate reporting where I have to be in front of the class and discuss the topic that was assigned to me. I don't like the idea of other people listening to and looking at me intently. I was not even aware of the public speaking websites and books at that time when I was a student. Today, a lot of resources to improve speech are available which makes a lot of room for improvement. On my case working as a call center agent makes me comfortable talking and delivering English fluently and flawlessly (sometimes).

That's why I chose to teach two languages in our home instead of focusing on one language in particular. Both have pros and cons so why not teach both?! With the proper guidance and aid materials, I'm sure that my future child/children will be comfortable communicating with other people plus she/he can overcome shyness that I had when I was young.

Let's see if this will work once we have our own son/daughter but I think it's possible.

How well do I know Hubby?

I got this from Notes in Facebook which has been the latest craze for the past few days...hehehe.

Let's see if I can answer all the questions but as far as I'm concern, I know hubby more than he knows me... I'm not even sure why, maybe I'm unpredictable as oppose to him =P

Here's a chance to see how well you really know your significant other. Cut, paste and fill in the answers, then forward . . . shoot, you know what to do. The real challenge is to send it to your significant other to see how right you really are.

1. He's sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?
Sports Channel like ESPN and Ball. He enjoys watching tennis, NBA and UFC!

2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad?
Hmm..he doesn't order salad except for macaroni so I bet on thousand islands dressing which is the common dressing that is available anywhere =)

3. What's one food he doesn't like?
Apple! His not a big fan of that fruit.

4. You go out to eat and have a drink. What does he order?
Iced tea or fruit juices like pineapple

5. Where did he go to high school?
Trinity College in QC

6. What shoe size does he wear?
I think his size 8...or 9???

7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be?
Naruto, Hunter X Hunter, Samurai X DVDs (I bet!)

8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?
Burger with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, mayonnaise and cheese :) That's the one he made yesterday as his dinner.

9. What would this person eat every day if he could?
Hotdog and eggs! These are the foods that he can cook without my help. Hehehehe

10. What is his favorite cereal?

11. What would he never wear?
Tight fit jeans because his legs are slim.

12. What is his favorite sports team?
Lakers and Ginebra ;)

13. Who did he vote for?
Tehee! None. Hopefully both of us can vote next year

14. Who is his best friend?
Right now, it's ME! But before it was Arvin (college days and post college)

15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do?
Coming home late from Gimik (it only happened twice)

16. What is his heritage?
All I know his 1/4 Chinese from his mother side. Not sure about his father side....

17. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what kind of cake?
Chocolate cake since he loves chocolates!

18. Did he play sports in high school?
His not into sports like his brothers but I think he plays basketball a bit.

19. What could he spend hours doing?
Playing DOTA (which I really hate!) I gave him a limit of 3 hours if his playing on an internet cafe. That's the max.

20. What is one unique talent he has?
Unique talent...coming up with weird suggestions that he can only think...I'm not even sure if it's talent to be consider. Aside from that, he sings really good. His way much better in singing compared to his siblings.

Rock n Roll

Two days ago I saw the post of John Rana in Facebook about the black theme wedding of Kamikazee's vocalist Jay C to Sarah Abad (happens to be the sister of Kaye Abad).

Curiosity got the best of me (I'm excited to see the wedding pictures) so I check the link in weddings at work. Indeed all of the female entourage including the parents as wearing black. The bride is the only one who's wearing white with a black belt as an accessory. Judging from the pictures of the newlywed they are enjoying every moment of their nuptials. Aside from the visible fact that the groom and bride are sporting tattoos and coming up with the "Goth" motif wedding, the love of the two for each other is skin-deep and you can see it in their eyes and faces. All is fir in love and war as the say. I wonder if they met in a punk chat room but then again it could be through common friends and acquaintances of her older sister that brought them together.

For all the rockers, punks and Goth lovers, you can socialize and converse with other peeps with the same interest as yours by trying out the Punk Chat City. Who knows maybe your better half is somewhere out there in the chat room and it all started with casual punk chat and ended in a rock and roll tale of ever after ;)

Change of Place

On March 28 or 29 marks the first year of our stay in our apartment. I'm proud to say that we made it through the year of leaving on our own. There are petty fights but it's normal since we are adjusting and I think we still do up to now.

In case hubby will be lucky to get a work abroad I was considering the idea of moving to another apartment particularly the apartment that was offered to us in the beginning by Tita Ador (she and her husband are our god parents in our wedding). They offer their newly built apartment for 4k which is a good find. Hubby at that time thinks that it's too far away from Makati that's why we opted for the one we are staying now.

I'm planning on visiting them this Sunday to check the place and to catch up with my best friend in high school (their daughter is my classmate/best friend in MCS then). I was hoping that the kitchen sinks on the place is spacious and the cabinets are not hovering the sink so I don't have to worry of bumping my head every time I'm busy preparing food.

It's just an idea for the time being because honestly, if I will be asks; I prefer to have a place that we can really call our OWN.

First things first

- I'll have to go to Intellicare Clinic to have my warts cauterized. I just learned this morning that we are covered by our health benefits. 1k neck down (as what their customer service agent told me). I have to get rid of them before it starts to get really hot in Manila.

- Then second on the list is haircut and cellophane treatment for my hair. I'm thinking of going to Fix Lab in Glorietta and look for Paulo or Jenny (recommended by my colleague).

- Lastly is a massage specifically a Ventosa massage for my aching back. It's long overdue and I've been planning it since November 2008.

I'm hoping to accomplish all of these by April (yeah I know it's pretty long but I'm trying to budget the money plus I pledge to save money for this year). Hope I can apply the stuff I learned in Accounting when I was in college =P

My Blog-o-history

I've been blogging for 13 months now and I'm sort of a late bloomer when I found out about this. The people that I knew started their own blogs when they were preparing weddings (that was 2006-2007) while me on the other hand is busy updating our weddingannouncer site.

When I joined N@W that was the only time I came to know the advantages of having a blog and what it can give you in return. Aside from the fact that it's therapeutic, the surprise is you can get paid to blog just about anything! That's hitting two birds with one stone. You can write anything under the sun while getting dinero in return. What's more you can do this at home or at work (if your employer is not that strict on the sites you get to visit). You just have to create an account and register your blog then wait for the approval.

I owe a lot of my extra money through blogging and I owe it all to my fellow N@Wies who help me by giving tips and tricks to know the terms and conditions of having a blog and the sites that give rewards to bloggers like me. I was able to pay our monthly rent and other expenses through blogging.

I was toying with the idea of getting an internet service at home but at this point, it's not really a must. I was afraid that hubby will be back to his "old habits" sitting in front of a computer playing games for 5-8 hours not minding to sleep or eat. I don't want to go back to that chapter of our relationship. I'll definitely get one once hubby got lucky to have a job abroad. But for now, I'll stick with our office internet privilege.

Today marks the start of the Lenten Season....

Ash Wednesday and EDSA

Today, majority of the Filipinos will be celebrating two events:

Religious side - Ash Wednesday is remembered by Catholics, marks the start of the Lenten Season. This is where the priest will be marking the foreheads of each Catholic believer during the mass and acknowledge the teachings of Church. This also means that fasting and abstinence is observed till Easter Sunday (marks the end of Lent).

Political side - Today marks the 23rd anniversary of EDSA I where Filipinos were recognized all over the world through it's peaceful way of attaining freedom from Marcos reign. It's also called "People Power Revolution" since no weapons or any act of violence were used to protect the essence of independence of our country. Looking back, indeed it was a significant occurrence in our history.

Questions in Life

Have you ever experienced worrying something and you need to ask other people's opinion or what's their take on that particular question.

I've been to that situation before, countless times to be exact. I always tend to seek for second opinion especially if I'm planning something big or when I want to surprise hubby.

I even remember when we were on our bf-gf relationship that I always made a visit to a forum where I'm a member for some ideas on OOTs, restaurants that offers good food, perfect boyfriend gift, etc. Good thing I have a source that helps me plan and make the best out of special occasions and even domestic/wellness issues as well.

After all, experienced is the best teacher and having other people's opinions and stories makes it an accurate and reliable reference in life.

False Alarm?

Just last Friday I made an entry about our Annual Physical Examination and that I'm not participating on that event in the office. Well, turns out that I did at the very last 30 minutes before I went home.

One of the HR staff convinced me to have a medical check-up since it will only take me 20 minutes to finish everything and that I don't have to worry going to the Intellicare clinic. Okay, fine. I budged to his request.

I fill out the form then have my BP taken which is 90/70 (normal accdg to the nurse) then my height and weight. I didn't catch my height but my weight is I think 42 kgs. Yeah, I know that I'm underweight. After that, they got a sample of my blood and a urine specimen as well.

Then I went off to the ophthalmologist to have my eyes checked. It's a relief to know that I still have my 20/20 vision! Yey! No need for eyeglasses this year for me.

Last stop is having me check by a female doctor. First she asked me common questions like have you been confined to a hospital in your life; are you allergic to foods/medicines; do you know any sickness that runs in your family; do you smoke/drink, etc.

Then she asked me when my last menstruation was and that was last Jan 18. I've been counting the days and I know that I'm sort of delayed. Then she asked me how many does my cycle usually take. And I answered 5-6 days. Then she asked me if there's any contact that happen from Jan 18-Feb 20 and I said yes. Then I can't answer when she asked me how many times...hehehe. Because I'm counting in my head on how many times it was but I couldn't think straight at that time. I was haunted by a feeling that I could be preggy and honestly, it scares me. The doctor supplied the answer for me and I just said yes (sorry, I won't say how many times...let's keep it a secret).

She advised me to wait until the end of February and if in case I still didn't have my period, she told me to take a pregnancy test on the 1st week of March. Then she made a note on my form that I will not be having an Xray. Though were not sure if I'm preggy or not, it will be better not to take it as a precaution if in case there's a life starting to grow in my tummy. Last Friday was my 34th day from the start of my last cycle (Jan 18). She even told me that the symptoms of pre-menstrual period and of being pregnant are the same. The only time that you will know that you're pregnant is when you've taken the kit and it shows you a positive sign. So there, I was nervous of the thought of me being a mommy but I already accepted that fate just in case. I'm conditioning my mind that we will be parents (hubby and I).

Come Saturday, Feb 21 (hubby's bday) will be the 35th day. For me, this day will be the "Now or Never" day. In the morning I'm experiencing abdominal cramps but tolerable. Then at around 9am I was surprised to felt something in my underwear. I hurriedly went to our restroom and there I saw the sign of me having a period! But I didn't rejoice when I saw it. I hear stories from my friends that they still get their menstruation and it will take them 2 months before realizing that they were actually pregnant. I was thinking that maybe I'm spotting since the flow is light and there were few drops every now and then.

So I continue to do the things that I have to do that day not worrying if I'm spotting or it's really my period. Night time came and the flow suddenly changes. It's my normal flow when I'm having my period and it stays that way until the other day. Today the flow is very light. Sometimes, there's no trace at all in my pad which is the same during my other cycles.

I'm thinking that maybe I'm not pregnant at all and it's my regular menstrual cycle. But then again how can I be so sure? The answer lies on the month of March :)

Anime Chat

Hubby likes Japanese cartoons specifically Hunter X Hunter, Naruto and Samurai X. I on the other hand am a fan of Sailor Moon (when I was in my youngster years), Ghost Fighter and Fushigi Yuugi. We both like Dragon Ball :)

Last Saturday when my sister came to our house, she was carrying a copy of an anime entitled "Death Note". We haven't started watching it since the weekend was hectic for both of us. However, I might watch it when I get home today since I was able to have a sneak peek on what's the story is all about ;)

I haven't finished watching Naruto. Hubby is always telling me that I have to finish watching it so I can understand clearly about the story but it's so long and confusing. Aside from the regular episodes, they have the special ones called Shippuuden. If I'm not mistaken, Shippuuden is pretty long too.

Since I'm complaining about Naruto's story being too long and too confusing, Hubby suggested downloading the manga series from the internet since it's accurate and complete. Oh well, if only I know someone from Anime Chat City then I could asked him or her to send me the complete series of Naruto chapters and I don't have to worry of downloading them.

Hubby's 32nd Bday

Sorry peeps for my late post. I was on-leave yesterday because I'm helping hubby with his applications abroad.

Anyways, last Saturday (February 21) was a tiring but rewarding day for me. It was my first time to cook food for his birthday.

I started preparing around 9am. I first made the Pine Orange Squares and let it chill on the refrigerator. I was waiting for my sister (she wants to learn on how to cook the buttered shrimps) when around 10:30, my much-awaited surprise for hubby arrived. It was a cake that I ordered from Karen's Kitchen. I selected their best-seller Chocolate Ganache and advised them to have a dedication written on the cake.

Hubby was surprised to see the cake. He never expected that a cake will be present on his bday with a bday greeting written on top of it. He gave me his warm hug and kiss with his sincerest thank you ;)

Back to my cooking exhibition, my sister arrived at 11:30am and I started cooking the Buttered Shrimps. That will be our food for lunch and the dessert /snack will be the squares that I made earlier. Turns out that my sister was the only one who ate some of it since I'm not that hungry and I was consumed with the idea of preparing the baked mac for hubby.
After the shrimps, I made the baked macaroni with the help of my sister. I still need to learn a few tricks on how to make it more special since I used microwave oven to bake it. Somehow, I feel that there's something lacking on the pasta that I made though it tastes good.
It was around 2:30pm I think when I finished with all the fuss in the kitchen.

The way to a man's heart is through his simple and labor of love gift for hubby on his birthday!

It's time for the bday boy to make a wish and blow his bday candle...hehehehe...
I wish him good health and a blessed life with me and our future family.
Love you always! :)

(P.S. The cake was so yummy! No wonder it was their best-seller. Rich in chocolate and the cake itself is not spongy. As of today, there's no trace of the cake in our house....hehehehe).

Friday, February 20, 2009

...will be Hubby's birthday. He requested for us not to go out and celebrate his bday. Instead, he wants to stay at home and have me cook his favorite dish(es).

So I'm off now from this blog and I'll keep you posted on Monday about our simple bday celebration.

Ciao everyone!

Eyes Check-up

I forgot to include this piece of information about my post in our APE. I was surprised to see an ophthalmologist in one of the tables that have been setup in our vacant space here at the office. Apart from that, they even have a sample of frames in case some employees would like to get prescription eyeglasses care of them.

This got me thinking if I still have my 20-20 vision. The last time I have my eyes checked was in the year of 2005. That was 4 years ago. If only Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank is possible here in Manila then I can be rest assured that I can avail a Prescription eyeglasses for only $8! Convert it to pesos; it will only cost Php 376!

Last Christmas, my sister and I finally got a pair of new specs for our grandmother as a gift to her. That costs us Php 2k+.

If only a local manufacturer of optical frames can offer the same thing as Zenni Optical then they will not be surprised to see Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! They are becoming famous to all Americans for making stylish, quality and budgeted eyeglasses like this one:
It's cute if your in grades chool or a teenager but not if you're in your late twenties =)

My Travel Personality

When you travel, you're looking for a lot of downtime. Vacations are your chance to recoup.

All you need is a scenic spot and plenty of time on your hands. You'll figure out the rest.

You're not one to make lots of plans when you travel. You just follow whatever path seems right.

Summer season is just a week away which means it's time for lots of travel and explorations!

Our New Office

Super delay pictures...sorry! These are the only snapshots that I have so far...

pantry area (it's bigger compared before)

mini gym

lazy boy (yeah!)

my workstation
(it's located at the back where no people can see and disturb me...hehehe)

With so much fuss going in our country especially in politics it's obvious that we have tons of opinions and beliefs that we can debate about.

I always saw an ad in Teleradyo where a female host has a radio show where teens are encouraged to speak out their minds and tackle different issues concerning our nation. That's a debate in a radio. Aside from that, there's also these two TV debate shows namely Y-Speak (general info) and a political debate show (forgot the exact name).

I'm not into debate and arguing that's why I didn't take any pre-requisite course for law...ahahaha! But I'm not afraid to speak my mind especially if I know that I'm right.

It's our Annual Physical Examination here at the office. The medical staff and nurses from Intellicare are already here and they set-up stations where the employees will register, have our weight, height, BP and blood sample taken plus submittal of stool and urine specimens.

Two vacant rooms in the office are dedicated for ECG lab and Pap smear lab. Another room was created for the general chek-up. While the X-ray is held on the mobile clinic.

I already advised our HR manager two days ago that I will be going to the Intellicare clinic instead of participating in the APE today in the office since dependents of the principal Intellicare member are not allowed to come here at the office so I opt to go to the clinic since it's only one ride away from our home. And I can have my dependent (which is Hubby) to have his APE as well.

Will just need someone from our HR office to call the Intellicare clinic to endorse our names and we're all set.

Oopps, I still owe y'all some pictures of our new office. I'll make a post about it before this day ends ;)

Team Work CRM

I thought it was like Team Building software where there are group activities and exercises to improve and strengthen relationships within an organization...hehehe. But I was wrong, obviously.Managing company with TeamWox CRM will boost company's internal affairs and PR on its employees due to the transparency of work activities that came with the package. The CRM is designed for an organization's proficiency and business development which means that all the corporate data are gathered in one place for an easy access among its employees wherever in any part of the world they are.

Sounds so business and complicated huh? But if you're in a position of owning a company, it helps for your employees to know that they are given an importance to and well taken care of. After all, employees are the heart and soul of an organization for it to work well.

Hmm... We don't actually have this kind of software here in our office....

Contaminated Spaghetti Sauce

A friend of mine just sent me a news link concerning a known brand of spaghetti sauce contaminated by rat parts! Yep! You heard me right.

As I read through the article I was stunned to learn that this could happen considering that they are in the market for so long and almost all of the Filipinos considered their brand as a household name.

On the said news, the batch code BB08129IF8 is the one contaminated with rat parts. An ABS-CBN employee filed a complaint in BFAD about what his family found about the sauce and the effect it brought to them. Mario Bautista said that his wife and children were hospitalized after suffering from headaches, vomiting and dizziness caused by the tainted product.

I brought a pouch of that sauce last week since I will be cooking pasta this coming Saturday for Hubby's birthday. I have to check the code that was on the pouch if it matches with the same pouch that Bautista family found. If in case it's not the same, I will thoroughly check the contents of the pouch if any alien objects are floating on the sauce. Or I'll probably buy another brand just to be safe.

To learn the culprit product click this link.

Tattoo Chat

I enjoyed watching the LA Ink and London Ink in Discovery Travel and Living. Almost all of their customers have story/stories to tell behind each tattoo/s. That's new to me since I thought before that the reason people get tattoo is to look tough (you know the days where convicts are the famous models for tattoos).

I've tried henna tattoos like three times and I always put it at my lower back. I know it's a good spot to put tattoos on and I admit it's kind of sexy having one on that location but I will never ever get a permanent one because primarily I’m afraid of needles. Second, if you have a tattoo (unless you’re a famous artist or celebrity) it’s hard to travel out of the country. Lastly, hubby and my parents will never want it in my body. Even if I talked to people in Tattoo Chat City I will not be convince to have a real tattoo.

I'm looking forward for our vacation in June. Finally, hubby and I will be experiencing Boracay for the very first time and it's will be the longest vacation for us together. I can have another henna tattoo on the same spot where I always put the previous ones. I want something like this as the design:

Yey! I was finishing the tag yesterday from Jody and wishing for an OOT this year and then my friend pop me a message in YM telling me that she and our common friend will be going to Boracay in June.

She asked me to check the Cebu Pacific website with the dates where they booked themselves and luckily there are still seats available. I called and asked hubby if he can come with us. After I got his yes, I asked my aunt from the ME if she wants to join us since she will be having a vacation here by that month. Got another yes and there! I hastily fill out the information needed then select the seats for the flight and lastly fill-out the payment form and presto! Itinerary information was sent in my email after 10 minutes by Cebu Pacific and I printed a copy to show to hubby when I went home yesterday.

Finally, the vacation that we've postponed last year will transpire this year. Thanks to my aunt for paying the fares for the three of us (she volunteered to pay for them). I'm so lucky to have an aunt like her. Good thing she's a "groovy aunt" and we treat her as a buddy (barkada).

So my friend who asked me to come along with them will be the one in charge for finding us a place to stay in Boracay. She already told me a beach-front house/apartment that charges 1800 per room which is good for 4 persons! That's a good deal plus she knows a boatman that we can hire for our island hopping!

Can't wait for June to come!

Girls and Paintball

Last weekend I passed by PICC and realized that they have a paintball field where paintball enthusiasts can unwind and enjoy. I didn't see anyone playing at that time but if I'm not mistaken it was featured before in television where the Sexbomb girls of Eat Bulaga are the participants on the paintball game.

I was laughing when I watched them play (by the way that was like 3 years ago) because most of them are screeching when they are hit by their opponents. Right there and then I imagined myself holding one of those paintball guns and aiming it to my enemy...hehehe.

Hmm...Not a bad idea when I think of having one. I wonder how much a paintball gun cost these days.

Hello! You'll probably all wondering how we spend Hearts day well we didn't go out that's for sure since Hubby wants to stay in the comfort of our home.

As I've said before, we don't celebrate vday like other couples. So what I did was cooked a special meal for the two of us and prepping up a dessert as well.

It was my first time to made that dish and dessert last Saturday so I was feeling excited and nervous at the same time.

The dish that I made was Buttered Shrimp ala Dampa care of fellow blogger Sheryll. I got the recipe from her blog. I followed the instructions and just added brocholli into the dish.

The final product.....
Hubby and I loved it! The shrimps and brocholli have this sweet and buttery taste. Yummy! Definitely, I will cook this again ;)

Next is the dessert. I just got this Pine Orange Squares recipe from Del Monte Kitchenomics website and follow the instructions.

The finish product....The pine and orange flavors are there with a crunchy bite of the graham crust at the bottom. It's perfect for summer! Try it and I'm sure your family will enjoy it. Btw, hubby and I loved this as well ;)

Even though we didn't go out on hearts day, cooking the shrimp dish amd making the pine-orange dessert is I think the best vday gift for hubby and myself!

Possible Lawsuit

The alleged assault of Chris Brown last February 8 to Rihanna had been the talk of Hollywood (specifically the music industry) today.

Chris Brown turned himself in to the LAPD after the police respond to a call from 911 about a call from a woman with visible injuries and identifying Brown as the attacker.

Chris Brown and Rihanna were both absent in the recently concluded Grammy Awards. Aside from that, their tours and concerts were cancelled.

Now everyone is waiting for Rihanna to file a lawsuit against Chris Brown. Definitely, lawsuit funding will not be a problem for her. Rihanna's close friends prayed that she will not be too kind to forgive Chris Brown for what he did to her.

What is Love?

Interesting question that fellow N@Wie Joy asked in the group.

This got me thinking on how do I define Love.

When I was in grade school, slum books and autographs are hot. I always put on the slum book for the definition of love to be as Love is like a rosary that is full of mysteries (hehe..kind of cheesy but if you will think about it, it is full of mysteries especially for other people to understand). Or if I'm lazy to write that phrase I'll just put Love is blind (ahahaha! corny!).

When I get older and wiser (college), I like this thought about love - We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. I have to agree with this. This concept applies to anyone who is in a romantic relationship especially if you're married. After all, this is the point where you will see the flaws of your partner which you haven't seen before when he/she is you bf/gf.

Right now, the only thing that comes to my mind when I think about Love is my husband then my family and lastly my friends. It's hard to describe it in words but once you strongly feel it, it's easy to express and show it to the ones you love. More often than not, it's much better to show love in actions rather than in words (I will prefer it that way. I'm just lucky that hubby shows that he loves me and he makes it a point to say the three words and eight letters everyday).

Moreover, I always turn in to the bible verse about love to be my source of inspiration for our marriage. That is found in First Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verses 4-8.

Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails...

Pre-need Plans

Due to the financial crisis a lot of pre-need companies here in Manila are bound to close down. They were actually two of them who were featured in the news namely Legacy Plans and Pryce Plans who admitted a trouble with their funds.

Last year I decided to get the refund of my own insurance and the only pre-need plan that I have is the Loyola Memorial Plan. So far I haven't heard any trouble or problem about this company and I'm hoping that won't (crossing fingers).

Recently, Nissan announced of cutting it's employees as part of cost-saving measures. The automotive company also predicted a loss of $2.91 billion.

I wonder if this kind of fate will happen to auto insurance companies.

My Love Song

Let's be cheesy for a moment since it's all about LOVE for this month...

Your Love Song Is Thank You

by Dido

"And I want to thank you for giving me
The best day of my life
Oh, just to be with you is having
The best day of my life."

It's all good, as long as you're in love.
