Another Quickie
Lot of things have happened last Wednesday. First, my husband is back to his lazy self where he didn't report for work and never even bothered to tell me. I called his office and that's when I found out that his not there. He won't accept my calls nor reply back to my texts. I was really pissed off when I found out that he was absent. Obviously, his playing DOTA at that time keeping himself busy.
Apart from that, I received a text that really hurt me and made me decide to keep distance with them for the time being. I told Hubby that I will never be seen nor heard from that person and whoever that is close to her. Her identity will be a secret since I don't want to hurt Hubby's feelings and of course somehow I was close to her prior to the text message she sent me.
Right now, Hubby and I are okay. Although last Wednesday night, I was really packing some of my things and I want to go to my Lola's place and stayed there until Sunday. Well, change of plans since I want to confront Hubby about his issues and I want to have a discussion. I'm almost fed-up with his ways in dealing stress and pressure. Don't want to elaborate on it but I'm sick and tired of it.
My husband is 1 week absent for work. Hopefully next week, he will have the decency to show up at his office and talk to his manager or supervisor about his issues working there. I told him that he should discuss it with them so they have an option for him. But of course, his so stubborn that I want to yell at him. I wonder now if he still have a job when he decided to show up....

Online

Yesterday, I called our company's helpdesk to fix my PC here in the office. Unfortunately, I got spywares and there are lots of them. It's actually my fault since I've been searching the net for Enrique Iglesia's Escape (mp3) on which I still haven't found. I only have the Spanish version as a consolation. Bummer!
So there, it started last Friday and I called the helpdesk yesterday. It got fixed early today. Thanks to Spybot! This was the software tool that the guy from our Helpdesk used in order to remove the spywares and malwares in my PC. Good 'ole and reliable Spybot! I've used this software before when I was a TSR in Dell (that was 3 years ago) and it's good to know that it's still doing the magic...hehehe.
Lesson Learned (Geeze, I should've known better. Shame on me!): Never get caught up with mp3 searching on the net...ahahaha! Once is enough for me.

Random Things About Me
Anyways, here is my fair share to keep this tag going...

RULES:
1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 10 people to get tagged and list their breads.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
ABOUT MOI...
1. I walk fast. It can be compared to the busy people of New York when they are walking along the streets of the Big Apple...hehehe.
2. I still have this bad habit of biitng my nails (I know it's kinda gross and it's way too old for me to do it. Having a hard time to get rid of it though).
3. I don't like Math especially if it's Algebra and Calculus. Ugh! I like Trigonometry though ;)
4. I like to do things that are planned.
5. I'm not really a homebody. I love to go out even if it's just hitting the mall to look around :)
6. I experienced to be a "working student" when I was in my junior year in college. Mon-Fri I can be seen in ADU. Sat and Sun, I can be seen in Wendy's...hehehe.
7. I was planning to get married at 30 years old but it never happened. I got married last year (I'm 27 yrs old then).
8. I can be patient for a long peiod of time but once I came to a point that I can'ttake it and I had enough, you will see me in a different way (my alter ego?! maybe).
9. I always picked on my youngest sister (bunso). I just so love to tease and annoy her. Normally, she will do the same thing to me...ahahaha!
10. I'm a grandma's girl :) I grew up with her until I was 6 years old and my mother took me to be with them. I admit that I'm much closer and at ease with my grandmother than my mother.

David Cook Bags This Year's AI!

Yey! So happy for him. I want him to be the winner and he did!

As for David A., he also has a good voice but some of them are too mellow for me...hehehe. Despite of coming as a runner-up, he will definitely have his own album as well!
Congratulations to the two Davids! Both of you deserve a standing ovation for an outstanding performances all throughout this season's American Idol

Coffee Break Ver. 1.10

For this week's coffee break, Jan's question is...
Be Insured
I for one have an insurance. For me, it's my way of saving up some of my money from working continuously (yep, I don't have any gaps at all in my work history). Naturally once you've been a regular employee, you will get the benefits that the company promised you. Some of this includes leaves, allowances, medical insurance and life insurance. But what if, you got yourself in an Injury at Work or worst your unemployed and you got in an accident or any injuries, how can you wiggle yourself way out of the expenses?
Crazy as it may sound but there are some companies that offers claims for personal injuries and calamities as well! Too good to be true but it's real. One company in UK offers this type of service - 100% Compensation for an individual. You can check out the link above for more details and info.

Need Extra Credit for Business?

But how about if you’re planning to put up a business and you can't use the credit card due to its limitations or the obvious fact that it has highest interest rates. Realities like that are such downers making it impossible to charge everything on that card while you’re on the verge of investing. That might be a problem for our future entrepreneurs or for those people who wants to take a chance in putting up a business of their own.
It would be a relief if they can find something like small business credit cards that is actually tailored-fit for a business newbie. This means more advantages on your side as you start your goal of becoming a successful business owner!
AI Winner Is...

Stay tuned for tomorrow's big night. I'm hoping that David Cook will win. I'm so nuts with his Always Be My Baby version...ahahaha! I Alternative music!

Sweet Sunday
Yesterday was less hectic compared to Saturday. I woke up at 9am which is unusual for me but since I have to do tons of things last Saturday I deserved a long and relaxing sleep.
I prepared our lunch for that matter since breakfast is way too late for us. I decided to make a sweet and sour meatballs as our viand Ü
I followed the recipe provided by Del Monte where I used their pineapple chunks, ketchup and red vinegar. Mixing the sauce is easy but the trouble that I had is with the meatballs. I used ground beef and I decided to cooked it a little bit through the microwave oven. When I saw that it turned light beige color I mixed it with an egg and bread crumbs. I have now a pattie mixture for the meatballs. So I fried the meatballs just like frying a sunny side-up egg.
After frying, I eagerly whipped up the sauce by mixing the pineapply syrup, sugar, vinegar, cornstarch dissolved in 1 cup of water, bell pepper, ketchup and pineapple chunks. Then I added the meatballs and stir every once in awhile then let it simmer for 5 mins. The sweet and sour meatballs are cooked! Yippee! Hubby is excited to taste it.
After gving Hubby's servings of the meatballs on his plate, I waited for his reaction when he took the first bite. He didn't say anything so I asked him outright on what's the taste of the meatballs. He told me that he couldn't taste anything. Puzzled, I took a bite from my own serving. True enough, the meatballs are tasteless while the sauce is done just right. I took another bite and there is something lacking on the meatballs. Then Hubby said that the meatballs are not well-cooked. So I looked inside the meatballs, it seems that his right about the meatballs. Oh boy! Hubby told me that I should've deep fried the meatballs instead of frying it like a fish or a hotdog.
Lesson learned, ground beef takes awhile to be cooked compared to ground pork. I told hubby that next time I will used ground pork instead of beef...ahahaha!
Thankfully, Hubby still managed to eat all of the meatballs. We have it for lunch and dinner which I only ate about 3 or 4 meatballs per meal.
Not only that, Hubby washed the dishes that I used for cooking the meatballs and the plates and cutleries that we used for lunch and dinner. And lastly, he volunteered to do the chore of ironing our clothes for the whole week! Hmmm... I wonder if his up to something fishy...hehehe.
It's about time that he have his own share of the chores since most of them were done by me ad the fact that he didn't go to work for one week. Guess his trying to make up for those absences
Sour Saturday
I woke up at 5am hoping that this time my husband will be motivated to go to work. I went down on thre kitchen and fixed him breakfast. After 20 minutes, I went up to our room and woke him up. His just nodding his head then and I told him that it's already 5:30am. Then after 10mins, he told me that he doesn't want to go to work. I asked him his reason and it better be a good one. After all, his been absent for 4 days! Obviously he couldn't give me a valid reason except that he doesn't feel going to work. Argh! That's it. After hearing it, I gave him a cold shoulder and went to the kitchen. Darn! If his tired then I'm so much tired as well since I always have to wake up early everyday to prepare breakfast for him and then he will tell me that his not going to work.

We ate our dinner in Greenwich then off we went to SM Homeworld where we bought our dish organizer and 2 huge basins for the laundry. We went home and call it a night.
I don't know what to do with Hubby. His being stubborn like a kid not wanting to go to school!

Cute Lilly at 2

She may looked like just any ordinary toddler who still baby talks, play and roam around the house watching cartoons or playing with their toys while drinking their milk. But if you start talking about geography, that's a different story.
Her name is Lilly Gaskin , a 2 year old daughter of James and Nikki, could point out 80 countries in the world map in an instant! Amazing indeed! She doesn't know how to read yet but her memory is superb in locating those countries that all people who saw her were blown-away.
Can't wait to see her when she's all grown up. This time, she probably memorize the capital cities of each countries in the map. Why not? Ü
Third Attempt to Cook
TUESDAY : It's actually easy since all you have to do is mixed everything together then put some Aji Ginisa or Maggi Magic Sarap to taste. I was worried that it will be a disaster. I let my husband to take a spoon full of the veggies. He told me that it was good. Hmm... I know what y'all thinking, his just saying it to please me. That's exactly what I told him...hehehe. So he urged me to taste it for myself which I did. True enough, it was good. I'm all smiles after tasting it. I even joked to hubby that I'm so proud of myself...ahahaha!

WEDNESDAY: I already had a plan on what to served for dinner. This time it will be Mongo Sprouts, Tofu, Carrots and Chayote as the ingredients. Basically all of them will be sauteed :) I was thinking of adding Ground Pork but I got lazy. Hehehehe. Of course, I added Magic Sarap to taste. It will look exactly like the filling for fried lumpia ;)
This time, I didn't asked for hubby's opinion about the taste (I'm giving him a cold shoulder at that time since he didn't go to work which really upsets me). I decided to judged my cooking for that night by tasting it myself. Not bad at all. The vegetables are cooked and their was a meaty flavor on them. Thanks to Magic Sarap (special plugging...wehehehe).
After making two dishes that turns out A-OK, I decided to try some Kitchenomics recipes from Del Monte. I was thinking of making a Sweet and Sour Meatballs for tonight. The problem is there are a lot of variations on how to make it. I'm thinking of using either Pineapple chunks or the Grape Jelly for the sauce. I still can't decide on what to use. Ugh!
Conclusion: Third Attempt to Cook is A-OK.

Broken Hearted

It's miserable to hear these type of stories especially if it's coming from the people who are close to you. I know I can't heal their hearts automatically but I hope and wish that somehow by saying words of encouragement, I somehow manage to soothe the pain in their hearts.
Coffee Break Ver. 1.9

I think the best way for the parents to teach their children about "Act of Kindness" is by setting an example within your household. It's much easier to explain to the kids about kindness when they see it right in front of their eyes.
As the commercial ad says "Kung ano ang ginagawa ng mga matatanda, nagiging tama sa mata ng bata".
Kindness should start in the family thus we should all be lead as an example.

First Attempt to Cook

Yesterday, Hubby and I purchased a gas tank together with the hose and regulator. Inwardly I was rejoicing since we can really COOK now. No more microwave cooking techniques for the meantime.
The problem was we don't have a frying pan available. The only thing that we have our 2 pots that were given as a wedding present. Since I saw some chefs on TV do fried foods on a pot, I told hubby that it's okay if we do the same thing.
We clean up the pot then put it in the gas stove. I turned on the fire and set it to low. After heating up the pot for a few minutes, I noticed that the some portion on the bottom is turning purple and there's a foreign smell coming out of it. A few seconds, smoke is coming out from the pot. I hastily put the oil in order to heat it. Then Hubby noticed that my fire is not that low so he adjusted it. Peeking inside the pot, the oil is definitely heating up but the purple color is covering half of the bottom now! Ugh! Plus, smoke is everywhere as if someone is having a barbecue party.
I automatically, turned off the gas stove and turn the electric fan on. Geeze... smoke stings our eyes and it hurts.
I admit, my bad about the idea of cooking using the pot. The pot that we have is not designed for frying since the bottom portion is not that thick compared to a frying pan. It easily heats up.
We have no choice that night but to cook our ham using microwave oven again. Anyways, I vow to buy a frying pan today! It's time that I learned a real cooking recipes. I told Hubby that he should learn to cook as well. It's only fair right?!

His amazing when he interpreted the song in his usual throaty rock type of voice. The good thing about him is that he take the risks of singing it the way he wanted it and it came out so beautiful that even Mariah Carey loved his version.

Blown-Away

All of the videos that I watched are the performances of Charice Pempengco in SBS Star King (Korea), Ellen Degeneres Show (US) and Paul O' Grady Show (London). She's everywhere! The hosts were left in awe with her powerful voice. They call her the "You Tube Sensation". I definitely agree!
After watching her performances, I felt chilled inside me and literally my hands are cold. For a 15 year old girl her voice is truly amazing! She have a long way ahead in her career. I wonder why she didn't win the singing contest Little Big Star in ASAP back then.
This coming May 12, be sure to tuned in to your television sets for the airing of Charice Pempengco's guest appearance in Oprah! Ooohh, you've got to watch this.

In celebration of the upcoming, Mother's Day (May 11) let's all...
Recall the most treasured conversation you had with your mother.

To-do List (Start the Week Right)
Normally I don't write down my to-do-list. I always make a mental note which is not effective since I left out a few things and it will be late before I even realized it. Reagrdless, I still seldom take notes of the things I have to do...hehehe. Call me pasaway =P

For This Week:
1. Clean up the rest of the apartment and arrange some of our things
2. Ironed the clothes that we need for the coming days and next week.
3. Have to go to the laundry shop to have some of our clothes clean.
4. Surf up the Singapore Job Ads for me and Hubby...hehehe.
5. Sent cover letters with my resume for the Singapore companies that I searched last week.
6. Start making the scrapbook picture (1 photo only) from my wedding for my Lola as a Mother's Day present.
7. Go to Fitness First at The Fort on Thursday so I can have my account freeze for July and August.
8. Go to Dasma Cavite and visit my Lola on Saturday. Need to finish the picture before this day so I can have it printed as well and put it on a frame.
9. Meet with Niña in Makati for my cheesecake order.
10. Drop by my parent's house in Parañaque on Sunday.

Nu-wave Oven
At that time, they were featuring a stove that looks like a turbo broiler. What's fascinating about it is that you don't have to defrost the meat or vegetables. You can starightly put them inside the oven and voila! It will defrost and cooked evenly.

Sounds good to be true, right? I actually showed this to Hubby since we don't have any means of cooking our food except for the Microwave oven. But the problem is that it's pricey. The oven costs Php 7k. Bummer!
Dealing with Credit Cards
I know most of us has experienced getting a loan in order to pay our credit card overdues but still having trouble in getting our way out of the bills and debts (Ouch! Been there, done that).
In dealing with 2 bad credit credit cards we wish for a lending company that offers low interest rate and flexible packages that is tailor fit for every individuals' financial needs. I'm not sure if we have one here in Manila but it will be really cool to have one. I could use a little help from them as well...hehehe.
Budgeting nowdays is considered to be a skill, you know?!
Red Rose
Red rose has number of thorns in it, when it pinches your fingers it hurts. Everyday in my life is just like red roses. Sometimes life is not always a bed of roses, but life is great with GOD.

Have a Lovely Monday!
