Payday Loans

Some employers offer cash advances or payday loans while having a tie-up with a bank company. My sister avail one of the loans offered in her company. I asked her to split up the amount with money. It did helped me in ways of paying the other debts and paying for the rent.

CK's Christening and 1st Bday

Last Friday I was on half-day just to attend the christening and bday party as well of CK. His the son of my closest friends Laine and Ryan.Unfortunately, me and hubby didn't make it on the christening ceremony because I'm in slow-mo and it's hard to find a cab going to EDSA shrine. We have no choice but to commute through jeepney and bus...sigh! And I was one of the ninangs(godmother).... =(
Good thing, we made it on the bday party...hehehehe. I decided to ditch our company's Xmas party in favor of this moment. I always make it a point to treasure my true friends. They are rare to find. I'm lucky to have them in my life ;)
I missed those times that all of us are together... Just traveling and having not a care in the world :)

Coffee Break ver. 1.48

With just 3 days away a lot of children and adults alike can be seen and heard on the streets singing Christmas carols to every house. It has been a tradition since...well, I have no idea. All I know is that when I'm a kid, I always looked forward to sing different Christmas songs and earn money :)

The first few songs that I learned were:

(1) Sa May Bahay - it's a Filipino song that I think every kid will know. It's like an ABC of Filipino Christmas song.

(2) Ang Pasko ay Sumapit - again it's a Filipino song that is part of the ABC Christmas songs....hehehe.

(3) Joy to the World - it's very easy to memorize if you were a child. Not to mention the repetition of phrases and words when you sing this ;)

Gift Ideas Under 100 Pesos

Yup! You heard it right! I was able to find good finds that are lesser than Php 100 (US$ 2).

It was yesterday when I saw a wide variety of reading and activity books in Enterprise Tower Bldg. I was on my way to Glorietta to meet my sister. I stopped and decided to see the items they are selling and found an activity books for nursery, activity books for toddlers and paper dolls for girls. All of them are at Php 60 each!

These solve the gifts for my younger cousins and one godson ;)

I passed Greenbelt malls and on my way to Landmark. There's a passage from Landmark going to Glorietta and that's where I'm going. Again, I stopped in my tracks to see a lot of people hovering on items for their officemates and godchildren. And I found these...
I gave these as an additional gifts to my uber loyal colleagues/friends :) It only costs Php 29.75 each (assorted designs).
Frosted mugs in small and tall sizes. This one costs Php 89.75 while the taller is Php 129.75. It comes in Spider Man, Superman, Looney Tunes and Disney Characters. This will be for my other cousin whose 10 years old. Purchased this in Landmark.

Finding these items completed my Xmas shopping list! ;)

Cool Bike

I remember my ex-boss who's living in Downington, PA with his family owning a Harley D bike. Yep! He has one and his mighty proud of it. Can't blame him, it will be really cool if you ride on a motorcycle like this...

(John's Harley bike)

So one of my friends got envied and she too wishes in the future to have one as well. Knowing her, she's embracing her freedom and doing what she wants. I might gave her a link to a Biker Chat so she can gain info about riding big bikes like Harley and exchange a few conversations with some bikers ;)

CAI-STA Kiddie Xmas Party 08

As promised last week, here are some of the photos captured for the Kiddie Xmas Party held in our office.

It was a lot of fun by just watching the children play the games. It's very odd that we got tired since we happen to be the "by-standers" during the whole event =)

Our company's guests.... the kids! Ü

Some of the kids with their bags given by the company for the parade. They will be given goodies and trinkets by the employees of our company :)

Holiday Drink

Holiday season means attending parties care of friends, families or with their respective employers. With these, there will be an awful lot of food and drinking involve.

Your holiday personality is cozy.

The holidays are your favorite time to stay home, stay warm, and spend time with those you love.

You don't need a lot to make you happy over the holidays.

Seeing an old relative or favorite holiday film is enough to make your day.

Vampire Chat

With the entire craze around the world for Twilight, it is no wonder if there will be a Vampire Chat Room solely for the people who love vampire culture or the Cullen Coven to be exact. I'm not sure if there are some people who follow the vampire tradition but it's weird that some does. For all we know, vampires and werewolves are just myths that have been a product of some people's wild imagination.

Cheer and Fear

Christmas is just 9 days away! Though it's enough reason for us to celebrate in the back of our minds we are left with a question on how we will survive the financial crisis next year.

We just have to be money wise and budget accordingly for the future is still unknown.

Crazy Afternoon

At 3pm, our company held it's annual Kiddie Christmas Party! :) There were a lot of kids ranging from 5 months and 9 years old. All the kids are in costume as requested by the party organizer.

It was a lot of fun! Young and adults alike enjoy the moment participating in games and having their pictures taken with Jollibee! Yep! He was a hit not only with the kids but with all of us here in the office....hehehe.

I'll post some of the pictures next week as I'm waiting for them to upload it in our company network :)

While we are having a blast inside the office, outside is a different scenario. Protesters flock for the Anti-Chacha Campaign and Ayala Avenue is closed for the event.

I have to find the new route on where I can ride a jeepney going home.

My Birthday Gift...

for myself! hehehe. I didn't used for 3 months (I purchased it last August) because hubby will surely ask me where & when did I bought it and how much is the bag :) During those months, the bag is stored in my office drawer and I was planning to use it this month.

Though others may find this cheap, for me this was the most expensive bag I ever purchased (I'm being practical). It costs Php 2,300 from a multiply seller who sells authentic imported items (mostly branded bags like XOXO, LC, RL, Lacoste, Baby Phat, etc). She's a nice person and very easy to talk to. She even let me pay it in an installment basis! That's how great she is!

XOXO Evolution Large Tote Brown bag

Tomorrow will be the very first time that I'm going to use it. My other bag that I always carry when going to work is damage, the strap of the bag is loose. I have to bring it to Mr. Quickie to have it fix. That will be after my office hour.

Find your Match

Normally when you asked a couple on how they met, they usually say through a common friend or even a relative's friend. But now with the internet available, you can find a friend/boyfriend or even a husband by just logging in to different websites that offer this kind of service.

Most of the time, this people are the ones who don't have much time to socialize and meet other people outside work. Now, they can meet friends or future special person within the specified age range they want and location through the local personals. Membership is for free so I'm sure there are a lot of singles men and women out there who might turned up to be the Ms. and Mr. Right for others.

Though I didn't use any match making websites, I still owe to the internet on how me and hubby met and we finally tied the knot last year. Seems unbelievable but then life is full of surprises.

Nationwide Phone Search

Wouldn't it be nice if you can find a person specifically your godparents during Christmas? When I was a child I always asked my parents how come my godparents doesn't come to visit me during Christmas. I bet they will all be surprised when they see me now...all grown-up and married!

If only we have a reverse phone search like in the US then there is still a hope for me. That is if I know their phone numbers then everything will be a breeze. Right?!

Oh well, those days that I long for them are gone but they are times when I do hope that they remember. Good thing that I have one godparent who knows me. She's the only godparent that I know since she happens to be my mother's cousin. The advantages of having a relative as your godparent

Coffee Break ver 1.47

Gad! This reply was a week late (so sorry Jan).

Anyways, here's my share with regards to my childhood Xmas memories.

Though I know that there are a lot of good old memories the only thing I remember was the Xmas that my two aunts (who happen to be single at that time) gave us a gift. One of my aunt gave us a stuffed toy bear while the other bought us a Sweet Valley Twins books! Also during Noche Buena, all of us are complete and my grandpa cooked us a meal for us to share. He was an experienced cook then so his always the one in charge of the kitchen.

I missed those times.... There are instances when I wish I was a child again...hehehe.

Pacman pulped the Golden Boy

At 8am, hubby and I were tuned in to the tube for any news or announcement that the Pacquiao-dela Hoya fight will start. Turns out that GMA 7 will have a delayed telecast of the event and it's too bad that we don't have Solar Sports in our cable (not sure why).

Regardless I didn't watch much of the under card matches. Instead, I was busy playing Cooking Dash...hehehe. Then at around 12nn when hubby switched channel to DZMM Teleradyo, they announced that Pacman won the fight! The news came straight from Diane Castillejo who happens to be on the MGM Arena.

That makes us anticipate the match. I think it was 1pm when they started showing the match and boy, there are tons of commercial! Grrr! From 1st to 8th round I tuned in to the screen watching Manny's moves. I'd say that his tougher than I thought. His consistent with his moves and his fast in throwing punches whereas dela Hoya seemed too stunned to move. Guess that cutting his weight did an effect on him in a bad way. I feel sorry to the Golden Boy because half of his face was swollen especially the eyes. Manny on the other hand seemed unharmed.
It's yet to be known whether these two fighters will retire or not but for the time being, Pacman make his self known again to the world and he sure made the Filipino proud! :)

On Weekend...

I'll probably have to go to the grocery on Saturday to add a few stocks on our fridge. Then most of the time, I'll just stay at home watching TV or DVD or playing Cooking Dash on the laptop.

On Sunday we will be attending the morning mass on the chapel near our home then we will tune in to our TV to watch Pacquiao-dela Hoya match! Wooohooo!
This will be an anticipated event for all Filipinos and naturally this is the best time to hit the malls since traffic will not be a problem (too bad that our 13th month pay is not yet ready).

In the afternoon of Sunday, hubby and I will be going to my cousin's house in Taguig to attend the 1st B-day of her daughter who happens to be my god daughter.

So I just have to make most of my time on Saturday since Sunday will be a little bit busy for me.

Happy Weekend to everyone!

Home Remodeling

There will come a time when we have the dream house that we wanted and it will come to a point when you just have to change or make a few alterations. Take my aunt for example. Before, her house in Dasmariñas Cavite was just a simple 2 bedroom single-detach bungalow but as years passed she decided to put an extension at the back that will serve as a kitchen and another extension at the side where it became a bakery when my grandfather was alive.

You may think that remodeling takes up too much money to spend but then again, if you decided to sell your newly improved house, then you can rest assure that it will be an investment to boot! How? Take a peek into Fort Worth Remodeling where contractors take every remodeling project as an investment in the future. They suggest that having a kitchen and bathroom upgrades brings a good return of the money you invested in the house. Not to mention if you add a room or two that will make the selling price higher.

Remodeling in Fort Worth is not normally based on personal reference rather it's more on what buyers want and needs. Seems tough but that's what the contractors are for. They can help you on how to plan it all out and make it profitable in the end.

I was blog hopping when I saw Jan's post about this website. Obviously she's into pictures and photography so it was not a surprised for me that she enjoyed having fun playing with photos.

So I try a few things myself and it really comes out "natural".

Changes and Update

Yesterday afternoon at 3pm, we have a meeting concerning our Xmas party. Turns out that there will be changes on the original plan that we had a few weeks back.

Due to the economic crisis, we will be no longer having a band to perform live. Instead it will be replaced by a mobile sound system. Then there will be an intermission number from 3 employees on the program.

It's been the tradition of our company to held a Xmas competition/presentation for newbies. Yesterday I was part of those newbies who perform. Ours was different since we are the only one who come up with a "mime" performance. This year, the newbies will present an MTV of any chosen Xmas carol and it will be shown on the Xmas party itself. Judges will be from the Admin/Management. Originally, there will be 4 groups who will compete but due to the sudden "lay-off" of some employees in one of our accounts , the groupings will be cut down to 3 or 2 groups =(

The meeting ended with a question on what will be the "title" of our Xmas party. A lot of the suggestions were hilarious and I can't stop laughing. Some of the titles were:

Moving Forward to 2009
Our Last Xmas Party
Year Ender Party

That's the suggested titles that I can remember. I myself can't think of any. My two cents since our party is MTV Awards/Hollywood inspired it should be somehow related to that...hmm...
